Baby Names

As parents, we often get so overwhelmed with the thought of our new baby that we lose sight of the simple things. Some of us become engulfed by thoughts of the future, adjustments, finances, etc; while there are a number of us that can't help but wonder what baby name would best fit our baby, especially with our unique last names.

"How do Roxy, Charolette, Suzy, or Chastity sound?"

"Will her first grade class use her name as a reason to make fun of her?"

"Or maybe we can name her Sheila... but I wonder where that name originated from and what it means. Hmm..."

Several of us have had conversations like these in our heads, especially those of us who have lived twenty or more years with our unique or made-up names, only to end up being the victims of elementary school jokes. If you have had to repeat your name more than five times to different people on any given day, you may understand. You may want to be consider your child's name carefully if you yourself were named after a Greek theologist, your parents' favorite star, etc., as you may have been asked the meaning of your name on several occasions or constantly asked, "How is that spelled?"
